Case study · Moving and logistics

Lewin Logistics: a movers' site built to be phoned

A Gauteng moving and logistics company covering residential moves, commercial relocations and nationwide transport. People booking a move want a price and a person, quickly, so the site is built around getting hold of one.

The brief

What the site had to do

Lewin Projects and Logistics moves people and goods. The site sets out six services: residential moving, commercial relocations, long-distance transport, goods transportation, local deliveries and nationwide transport.

Moving is a decision people make quickly and nervously. They are comparing two or three companies, they want a rough price, and they want to know a real person will answer. A site that makes them hunt for a phone number loses to one that does not.

The service area also had to be unambiguous. The company works across Johannesburg, Pretoria, Midrand, Centurion, Sandton, Ekurhuleni, the East Rand and the West Rand, and it transports nationwide across all nine provinces. A visitor should be able to tell in one read whether their move is covered.

How the site is put together

  • Home, About, Services, Projects and Contact in the primary navigation
  • Six services described separately, so an enquiry arrives already qualified
  • The phone number and WhatsApp reachable from every screen
  • An enquiry form with a “What do you need moved?” dropdown
  • A second submit that sends the same enquiry straight to WhatsApp
  • Service areas written out, plus nationwide cover across all nine provinces

SEO foundations

  • The page title leads with what people actually search for - movers, and the province - rather than with the company name alone.
  • The meta description carries the phone number, so the number is visible in the search result before anyone clicks.
  • Each service is described in its own words rather than as one repeated block with the service name swapped out.

Where it stands

The site is live, the six services are set out separately, and every page gives a visitor three ways to make contact: call, WhatsApp or the form. No lead or ranking figures are quoted here because none have been measured and shared - what is true is that the site now presents the full service list and service area clearly, on a phone as well as a desktop.

Inside the build

Built around the enquiry

Two ways to send the same enquiry

The contact form asks for a name, a phone number and the details of the move, with email optional. It offers both “Send enquiry” and “Send on WhatsApp”, so somebody who would rather not fill in a form still reaches the same inbox instead of leaving.

A dropdown that qualifies the job

“What do you need moved?” sorts a house move from an office relocation from a single-item delivery before anyone picks up the phone, so the first call back can already be about price rather than about what the job is.

The number where the eye lands

Moving enquiries are urgent and mostly mobile. The phone number is in the header, in the footer, on the contact page and in the page description itself, so a search result alone is enough to make the call.
