About these terms
These terms apply to the Kura Digital website and to the services we provide. They sit alongside the written quote you receive before any work starts, and where the quote says something different, the quote wins, because it is the document that describes your specific project.
“We” and “us” means Kura Digital, of Edenvale, Gauteng, South Africa. “You” means the person or business we are quoting for or working with.
Our services
We provide:
- Website design and development
- Website redesign and rebuilds, including redirect mapping from an old site
- E-commerce websites and online stores
- Landing pages
- On-page SEO foundations, and ongoing local SEO campaigns
- Website hosting, business email and domain registration
- Website maintenance, updates, backups and support
- Social media management
What is included in your project is whatever the written quote lists. Anything outside that is new work and is quoted separately. We will tell you before doing it, not afterwards on an invoice.
Quotes, prices and payment
The prices published on this website are the current published prices for our standard packages: R1,500 once-off for Starter, R3,500 for Business, R5,000 for Growth and R6,500 for Professional, with hosting, your domain and Website Care free for the first year and R200 a month from year two. Online stores start at R4,000 and redesigns are priced as a new build of the same size. One business email is included and extra mailboxes are R45 a month. SEO campaigns are R3,000 a month and social media management from R1,800 a month.
- Every project is confirmed by a fixed written quote agreed before work begins. That price does not change during the project unless you ask for something outside the agreed scope.
- Payment terms, deposits and invoicing dates are set out in your written quote.
- Published prices exclude VAT where VAT applies.
- Hosting, your domain and Website Care are free for the first year, then R200 a month. Extra mailboxes are R45 a month.
- Prices may change for new quotes. A quote you have already accepted is not affected.
What we need from you
Most delays on a website project come from one place, so it is worth being clear about it. We need:
- Your content, meaning text, photographs, logos and product details, or a decision to take the copywriting option where the package includes it
- Feedback on what we send you, within a reasonable time
- Access to any existing domain, hosting or website account we need in order to do the work
- A single point of contact who can make decisions
You confirm that you own, or have permission to use, everything you send us, including text, images, logos and trademarks. We are not able to check that for you, and we cannot accept responsibility for material supplied to us that turns out to infringe someone else’s rights.
Timelines
A landing page is usually live in about a week. A five to ten page business website takes three to six weeks. Your written quote carries the delivery date for your project.
Those timelines assume content and feedback come back to us as the project runs. If they stall, the delivery date moves by roughly the same amount. We will tell you when that happens rather than let the date slide quietly.
Ownership and handover
This is the part people most often get caught out by elsewhere, so we keep it simple:
- The domain is registered in your name, not ours.
- At launch we hand over the files and the logins. The finished website is yours.
- If you later move to another provider or another developer, the whole site goes with you. We do not hold a website hostage to a support contract.
- We keep the right to show the finished website in our portfolio and to refer to you as a client. If you would rather we did not, tell us and we will not.
Where a project uses third-party components such as a WordPress theme, a plugin, a stock photograph or a font, those remain under their own licences, which pass to you with the site.
Hosting, domains and email
Website Care is free for the first year and R200 a month from year two. It covers hosting, your domain, SSL, backups, security monitoring and minor website updates, and one business email is included.
- Hosting is on South African infrastructure and includes an SSL certificate, daily off-site backups and uptime monitoring.
- We register and renew domains on your behalf, in your name. Renewals are your responsibility to fund; we will remind you before a domain lapses.
- There is no lock-in. You can move hosting elsewhere whenever you like and we will help with the handover.
- We cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability. Hosting depends on infrastructure we do not own, and no provider can honestly promise zero downtime.
Maintenance and support
Maintenance is included in every package’s monthly fee and covers security updates, backups, uptime monitoring and content changes. There is no lock-in contract.
Support is on WhatsApp, email or the phone during business hours: Monday to Friday 08:00 to 17:00, and Saturday 09:00 to 13:00. Without a maintenance plan, changes after launch are quoted as they come up.
SEO
Every website we build ships with the on-page SEO groundwork in place: heading structure, meta titles and descriptions, image alt text, a sitemap and fast mobile loading.
Ongoing SEO campaigns are R3,000 a month. Search rankings cannot be guaranteed by anyone, ourselves included. They depend on competition, on your market, and on search engines whose ranking systems are not ours to control and change without notice. What we commit to is the work described in your quote and reporting you can actually read. Anyone promising you a specific position by a specific date is guessing.
Third-party services
Some projects rely on services provided by other companies, including payment gateways, courier integrations, WordPress and its plugins, social media platforms and Google Business Profile.
Those services are governed by their own terms and pricing, and their availability and behaviour are outside our control. We will set them up and configure them as part of your project where the quote says so.
Liability
We take care over the work and we fix our own mistakes. But the practical limits are worth stating plainly:
- We are not liable for loss caused by content you supplied, by changes you or another party make to the site after handover, or by a third-party service failing.
- We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss such as lost profits, lost business or lost data arising from the use of, or inability to use, a website.
- Where we are liable, our liability is limited to the amount you paid us for the work in question.
- Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 or any other law that cannot be excluded by agreement.
Cancellation
If you cancel a project once work has started, you are liable for the work completed up to that point. The specifics of deposits, stage payments and what is refundable are set out in your written quote.
Monthly services have no lock-in. Tell us you want to stop and we will stop billing at the end of the current month and help you move.
Privacy
How we handle personal information is set out in our Privacy Policy and, in full statutory detail, in our POPIA Policy. Both form part of these terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of South Africa, and the South African courts have jurisdiction. The Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 and the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002 apply where they apply.
If any part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest of them still stand.
Changes to these terms
Last updated 16 August 2026. We may update these terms for new work. The version in force for your project is the one published when your quote was accepted.
